Bahrain Workshop Company was established in 1948, originally as a repair and machine shop. At the time, engineering expertise and raw materials were not readily available in Bahrain, necessitating imports. This challenge led to the formation of the Commercial Department in 1957.

The Trading Department expanded significantly by acquiring agency rights for world-renowned engineering product manufacturers. In 1973, the company’s two core activities were separated into distinct units: the Trading Division and the Engineering Division. The Engineering Division was subsequently relocated and further expanded with the addition of Bahrain’s of our current location in Mam’meer.

Today, Bahrain Workshop Company employs approximately 190 to 200 personnel, spanning executive, clerical, and labor categories.

In response to the growing number of industrial equipment installations across Bahrain, the Rotating Equipment Division was established, specializing in the maintenance of valves and rotary machinery.

Our Aim

Our goal is to provide customers with a comprehensive, professional service across all areas of engineering. This is delivered through our specialized divisions: Structural, Mechanical, Casting, Galvanizing, Lifting, and Rotating Equipment. These core capabilities are further supported by our Trading Division, which supplies new equipment and consumables.

Backed by a dedicated team of engineers and decades of experience in the petrochemical, heavy engineering, aluminum smelting, and manufacturing sectors, we have built a strong foundation for delivering engineering excellence at every level.

Commercial  Division

The Commercial Division represents a wide range of renowned international manufacturers, offering high-quality engineered products to meet diverse industrial needs. To better serve our extensive clientele, we operate modern and spacious showrooms strategically located in key industrial area:  Ma’meer.

We are proud to be a major supplier of critical industrial equipment to both private and government sectors, including steam turbines, API-compliant pumping systems, lifting equipment, and a broad range of industrial products.

Engineering Division

The Engineering Division has developed extensive expertise in heavy fabrication and a wide range of manufacturing activities. Our work supports aluminium smelters, refineries, and other major industrial operations in Bahrain, across the Gulf region, and beyond.

The rotating equipment division is operated by a well trained group of qualified and flexible experienced technicians with a dedicated floor space of 560 square meters with a wide range of tools and equipment to repair rotating equipments.
